Meet Me

My name is Olivia Grist. I would love to introduce myself as one thing, but the truth is, I wear many different hats, as I’m sure many of you do as well. I am first and foremost a Lover and Follower of Jesus, who has given me so much more than I could ever deserve. I am a wife, fitness lover, travel junkie, nurse, and at home chef. I can’t wait to share my days with all of you. After all, what is a world without friends?

Truth is, I am looking for happiness. I guess that’s not surprise – aren’t we all? Webster and all his friends define happiness as “a state of well being and contentment”. Maybe that’s a good description – but is it really? For me, it’s about liking life. I don’t want to close my eyes and “make it through”. I want to look forward to each and every day. Happiness shouldn’t be a specific destination, it should be the day in and day out of this crazy, beautiful, complicated life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not unhappy by any means. I have a great life. But what I’m talking about is different – it’s the gratefulness for every day, the passion for every moment, the bliss in every breath. It’s the unshaken desire to do more, give more, be more, help more, and love more.

Unfortunately, this life gets a bad rap. So many believe that work is for money and not for happiness, that if you close your eyes and be quiet, you’ll get through this easier and if you follow what they tell you, you’ll make it to the top. But…what if life isn’t about any of that? What if it’s about fighting to find your passion, looking for the extraordinary in each ordinary day, giving up on the life’s rulebook that once defined you, giving your money away to those who need it just a little bit more, and letting your heart overpower your brain? So that’s what I’ve set out for… you can call me crazy if you want, but is it working out any better the way you’re doing it?

I’m so excited to share my existence with you – and who knows, if it’s inspiring enough, maybe you’ll just join me?
